focus is off, the colours are a bit meh, but I like it. It'll keep for now.

Kinsale, just past the bridge, there's a little green which we sat at most days on our recent trip. I made this picture and explained to the kids about prevailing winds. Holidays eh! great memories (also that's the moon just behind the tree) taken at 21:30 in evening light

Arriving home and having to wait in the car "just until I finish this chapter...pleeeeease":Cole reading the fourth Harry Potter novel. He's addicted and its great to see, but we'll have to hold off on the next few until he's a bit older I think... We'll see :)

Trying to finish Cliodhna's school photo's (its been a while), came across this shot which doesn't work as a full portrait because she's making a face, but I cropped it to see how it looks, and I like it. now, if only I had MOAR MEGGAPIXELSS!!!

I set up the 'studio' at home to do some shots of Cliodhna in her school uniform, most of which I still need to process, but i like a few at first glance, this is one. No cheesey smiles, no looking at the camera.

I took a walkabout last week in Dublin, visited a few galleries and ran some errands, I finally called into 'The Picture Rooms', a new Gallery on Wellington Quay (nextdoor to the workmans club).
Pop in if you get a chance. I was delighted when upon leaving, I noticed this little bit of repair work on the entranceway.

I took in a most enjoyable tour of The Dublin Contemporary exhibition last week with thanks to photowalkie & @da_kar.
I did feel that some of the 'art' was Art simply because the 'artist' declared it so. There were a number of pieces which delighted me across all genre's, but some which left me wondering....well....WTF the curator thought. I am sure this would all be batted away by someone who speaks the language of art critique & explained in a childlike manner to a simpleton such as myself quite easily, but until then I will continue to shout "the emperor is naked". I did enjoy both pieces in the above shot btw. I do however wish they had a brief paragraph accompanying each piece with an introduction/explanation of the idea or reason behind it.

Another from the recent holidays in Kinsale. We spent a few hours during the day on Garrettstown beach in Cork. It was so nice, we drove back to town, collected Siobhan & Doireann and headed back out for the evening. Cliodhna made castles and Cole was delighted that he was allowed into the sea in his clothes, after this shot he went in up to his waist and was soaked head to toe, which he giggled about for hours and woke up the next morning asking if we could go again o/.
