Attended a 'Visit Dublin' photowalk last Saturday at the invitation of simply zesty we took in some nice sights on what turned out to be a beautiful day (weather wise) Dublin castle, Christ church & the Guinness storehouse along with the streets and faces in between. More shots to come once I process & select them. some up on pixie

Donal's 30th Birthday party was in Toners on Saturday night, he decided to play a gig for the crowd with the band he was in as a 'younger' gentleman with Phil, Richard, Peter (Stephen joined them for an epic version of "alive" by pearl jam for a finish)It was a fantastic night and they rocked the house down, some shots over on pixie

Again, another shot from Kinsale. The Arklow Flair, I was amazed to see the size of this ship passing our window into the harbour, I later went down to the trident harbour (?) where it was being unloaded of its cargo (Grain/gravel? I had the buggy with me so didn't want to chance running over while the crane was in motion) I later went back with the wide lens and took a few shots. More on pixie

On a recent long weekend away in Kinsale I took a solo-photowalk :o) around the town en route to my second dinner that evening, shot this this oft-snapped group of houses on Scilly. Lots more shots from Kinsale on the cards, just need time to PP, oh plus a timelapse video taken from the Apt.

As part of the photowalk.ie crew, the kids and I paid a visit to Dublin Zoo last weekend. weather forecast was miserable, but it ended up being a scorcher! lots of fun and some nice shots. this one, the other business end of a rhino caught my eye

The kids and I took a spin up the Liffey last night in one of the Sea Safari ribs (my dad piloted/drove) kids had a wild time and loved it until grandad started to do donuts in the middle of the river. On the way back I spotted this curragh moored alongside the east link toll bridge. I made a scale model of one in school as part of my inter-cert humanities course and it brought back some fun memories (esp. Donna's model of one!!)

Last weekend we took a trip down to Shannon Harbour to spend fathers day with my parents and grandmother on their cruiser. My dad took us (the two oldest kids, my mother and I) up the grand canal for a jaunt in the little punt. Snapped this one when I turned around and saw the scene like something out of the bayou in florida :o)

This week I was given the opportunity to attend Bloom 2010 as a member of the media! full media pass, good for 5 days with guest and free parking space. how? you ask, why as part of a bord bia sponsored photowalk with www.photowalk.ieThe weather was stunningand so were the gardens and foodstands on show. It is well worth the visit, if I don't get a freebie next year I'll go a couple of times again. will be back on Monday I reckon with camera and family in tow. I took a hot air balloon flight last night compliments of my wife from Trim to Ballivor. It was an amazing experience and not at all what I expected. Yes I took the camera and yes there are lots of shots on there, but I will take my time and pick through them for pix.ie. Meanwhile, this one was fun, this lunatic flew the 15km or so alongside us, weaving in and out of both balloons...thats what I want to try next :o)
